Air France Expands Winter Routes with 5 New Destinations

Air France is gearing up for its winter schedule with exciting plans. The airline will introduce eight new routes and add five fresh destinations, extending its global network. This expansion is part of Air France’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in key regions.

Air France’s New Routes for Winter 2024-2025

Starting this winter, Air France will expand its reach to 169 destinations across 73 countries. The airline’s new routes will connect travelers to exciting locations, including Tanzania, Brazil, the Philippines, the Maldives, and Sweden. This move aligns with the seasonal shift as the International Air Transport Association (IATA) summer comes to a close.

Air France Adds More Connections in South America and Africa

From October 28, Air France will launch flights to Salvador, Brazil, operating three times a week. This will be Air France’s fifth destination in Brazil, using the Airbus A350-900. Following that, the airline will launch a new route to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania on November 18, also offering three weekly flights. These additions bring Air France’s African destinations to 26, excluding North Africa.

Expanding Into Asia and the Maldives

On December 7, Air France will begin service to Manila, the capital of the Philippines. These flights will operate three times a week and complement KLM’s four weekly flights. With these additions, Air France-KLM Group will provide daily service between Europe and Manila. Air France will also add twice-weekly flights to the Maldives from December 20 to January 5, 2025, using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

New Route to Lapland and North American Expansions

Air France will introduce a new route to Kiruna in Swedish Lapland on December 21. Flights will run once weekly on Airbus A319s, continuing until March 8. In addition, Air France’s winter schedule will maintain over 630 daily flights across short and medium-haul networks.

Air France will also increase its presence in the United States. Flights to Denver International Airport, which were previously summer-only, will continue through the winter. The recently launched Phoenix Sky Harbor route will also have three weekly flights. In total, Air France will operate 235 weekly flights to 23 destinations across North America.
