Air India Boosts Fleet with New Airbus Aircraft Orders

Air India is modernizing its fleet with a major order of new Airbus aircrafts. The airline ordered 10 A350 widebody jets and 90 A320 Family single-aisle planes to enhance its fleet and operations. Air India also selected Airbus’ Flight Hour Services-Component (FHS-C) to boost the reliability and efficiency of its A350 aircraft. This decision strengthens Air India’s long-term commitment to world-class operations.

Air India’s new purchase adds to its previous 2023 order for 40 A350 and 210 A320 aircraft. With six A350-900 jets already delivered, the airline now has a total of 344 Airbus aircraft in its orderbook. This investment boosts Air India’s global position as it responds to increasing air travel demand.

By choosing Airbus’ FHS-C service, Air India maximizes its fleet’s performance. The service includes regional spares pools, on-site stock at Delhi, and engineering support. These services will reduce maintenance costs and ensure smooth operations.

Air India’s Airbus jets also align with its sustainability goals. The A350 improves fuel efficiency by 25% and reduces CO₂ emissions. The A320neo Family, including the A321neo, achieves over 20% fuel and CO₂ savings. It also ensures a superior passenger experience.

This expansion reflects Air India’s goal to lead the global aviation market. The airline aims to grow its network and offer premium travel experiences worldwide. India’s aviation market continues to grow faster than many other regions.
