Air India Expands Travel With New Delhi-Jaisalmer Flights

Air India will launch nonstop flights between Delhi and Jaisalmer on October 26, 2025. Moreover, the airline aims to boost cultural tourism in India by improving access to Jaisalmer, also known as the “Golden City.” Therefore, both domestic and global travelers will reach the destination with greater ease during the peak season, which lasts until March 28, 2026.

The carrier will operate two daily flights with Airbus A320 aircraft. Furthermore, these flights will create seamless links between Delhi and Jaisalmer and also connect international travelers through Delhi. Additionally, the schedule will support smooth connections for passengers traveling across India and to destinations in Europe and the UK. As a result, Air India will enhance inbound tourism and also strengthen convenience for domestic travelers.

Jaisalmer offers some of India’s most remarkable cultural attractions, including the Jaisalmer Fort and Patwon Ki Haveli. In addition, the nearby Thar Desert provides travelers with unique desert landscapes. Consequently, this direct service will not only make the city more reachable but also drive growth for the local economy. Hotels, resorts, and tour operators will see higher demand. Therefore, this connectivity will also attract investment in local infrastructure, ensuring sustainable development in tourism.

This launch reflects Air India’s broader mission to expand cultural tourism across India. Meanwhile, the airline continues to increase domestic routes to heritage-rich cities often underserved by other carriers. In fact, India’s aviation industry has shown steady growth in 2025, with rising passenger traffic and robust domestic demand. Hence, Air India continues to play a crucial role in driving that momentum.

Overall, this connection will help tourists enjoy Jaisalmer’s cultural treasures while fueling opportunities for the local population. With enhanced accessibility, the “Golden City” will attract more visitors, strengthen India’s tourism sector, and highlight the country’s vibrant heritage.
