Air India Express Boosts Travel With New Bengaluru Routes

Air India Express will expand its domestic network this September, adding new routes from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun. The airline will strengthen its role in connecting India’s growing business hubs and tourist regions. With these routes, Air India Express will enhance accessibility for both professionals and leisure travelers across western, northern, and hill regions of the country.

The expansion will begin on 1 September 2025 with flights to Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. Daily flights to Dehradun will start from 15 September. These routes will create stronger travel links with Bengaluru, a city that serves as both a corporate hub and a tourist gateway. By offering frequent schedules, the airline will meet rising demand for affordable travel in competitive domestic markets.

Currently, Air India Express operates hundreds of flights every week from its Bengaluru hub, covering more than 30 domestic destinations. The addition of these new services will improve its network reach while giving travelers more direct options. The airline also supports international connections through its partnerships, allowing passengers to link seamlessly beyond India.

To make travel smoother, Air India Express promotes Xpress Holidays, a program that offers flight-and-stay packages. This service simplifies travel planning by combining flights, accommodation, and ground arrangements, which proves valuable for travelers exploring new routes. In addition, the airline recently introduced the “Tales of India” livery, showcasing regional art on aircraft. These designs celebrate cultural traditions, including motifs from Gujarat, Punjab, and Uttarakhand, linking heritage with modern aviation.

The upcoming routes highlight the airline’s focus on improving connectivity, supporting regional economies, and boosting tourism. With Bengaluru as a central hub, Air India Express continues to position itself as a preferred choice for both business and leisure travel within India.
