Air India Just Supercharged Indian Travel — Nine Cities Now Closer Than You Think

Air India is set to transform domestic and international travel with its expansive new flight network. The airline’s latest schedule connects major Indian cities like Varanasi, Guwahati, Patna, and Amritsar to larger hubs, creating smoother access for travelers. With rising demand for both business and leisure trips, Air India plans to offer more frequent flights across popular routes, ensuring faster and more convenient journeys.

Starting October 26, 2025, Air India will restructure its operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The airline will move part of its domestic services to Terminal 2, allowing easier passenger management during Terminal 3 expansion. This change supports growing traffic while keeping international flights stable at Terminal 3.

Meanwhile, Air India continues to grow its international presence. The airline will increase Delhi–Kuala Lumpur and Delhi–Denpasar (Bali) flights from seven to ten per week. These routes will offer travelers greater flexibility during the winter season, which usually brings a sharp rise in international bookings.

The airline is also focusing on strengthening its domestic network across Rajasthan and Central India. New and additional flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Indore, and Bhopal will make travel faster and more accessible. Air India aims to connect more regional cities to the country’s economic and tourism centers, supporting India’s growing travel market.

Air India’s fleet modernization plan, launched in September 2024, will support this expansion. The airline is introducing fuel-efficient aircraft to manage higher passenger volumes while offering improved comfort. This move enhances the airline’s competitiveness and reinforces its position as a leader in Indian aviation.

With these developments, Air India strengthens its commitment to providing travelers with reliable, connected, and comfortable travel options across India and beyond.
