Air New Zealand Expands Partnership with Cathay Pacific

Air New Zealand extended its partnership with Cathay Pacific. The New Zealand Associate Minister of Transport approved the new five-year alliance. This approval boosts travel options and connectivity between New Zealand and Hong Kong.

Since 2013, Air New Zealand and Cathay Pacific have boosted tourism and trade between New Zealand and Hong Kong. The new alliance offers up to three daily flights during peak seasons. Passengers now enjoy more flexibility and convenience. The airlines also expand their global network, helping travelers access international destinations.

This extension supports the recovery of the aviation industry. Air New Zealand and Cathay Pacific will grow their shared services, offering more flights for both business and leisure travelers. The partnership strengthens regional growth by connecting New Zealand with major Asian hubs.

Air New Zealand and Cathay Pacific now operate 18 weekly return flights between New Zealand and Hong Kong during peak months. Cathay Pacific also runs a four-weekly seasonal service from Christchurch to Hong Kong from October 2024 to March 2025. The airlines meet the growing demand for seamless travel between these regions. This partnership shows the airlines’ commitment to high-quality travel and global business connections.
