Air New Zealand Reschedules New Business Class Launch for 2025!

Air New Zealand has postponed the launch of its eagerly awaited new business class until 2025. This delay comes as the airline upgrades its Boeing 787s with luxurious features and innovative amenities.

Originally set for next year, the rollout of the revamped business class now depends on the Boeing 787 refurbishment program. Travelers eager for these upgrades must wait until late 2025 for the new fleet of Dreamliners to arrive.

These advanced aircraft will cater to ultra-long-range flights and will include 42 Business Premier seats across two cabins. The planes will also feature eight exclusive Business Premier Luxe suites. Additionally, six innovative Skynest bunk beds will allow economy passengers to book lie-flat beds for four hours.

In contrast, the retrofitted 787s will offer a smaller business class with only 22 seats, including four Luxe suites. However, these models will lack Skynest options. The new business class aims to transform air travel, moving away from outdated designs that have existed for two decades. The redesigned Business Premier seats promise a spacious and private environment. Notably, the seats will angle slightly inward, enhancing views while keeping proximity to the window.

Passengers can also expect greater privacy thanks to sliding panels. Features include a storage cabinet, a vanity mirror, a side shelf, wireless charging, and a 24-inch video screen with Bluetooth audio streaming for personal headphones. The Business Premier Luxe suites will have sliding partitions for added seclusion. This feature allows travelers to share experiences with companions if they wish.

Air New Zealand also plans to enrich the in-flight experience with luxury items like a Merino wool throw. While the dining options will remain consistent, Business Premier Luxe passengers will continue to enjoy the “Aotearoa on a Plate” concept, which highlights fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Ultimately, Air New Zealand is set to redefine long-haul travel with its new business class. Travelers can look forward to a comfortable and convenient flying experience when the new fleet arrives. Oh man, Air New Zealand Business Class is always a treat! I’ve been looking forward to this upgrade for ages. A bit bummed it’s been pushed back to 2025, but if it means a truly exceptional experience, then I’m willing to wait. I’m hoping for a significant improvement over their current offering – maybe even lie-flat pods with better amenities. They better not skimp on the food!
