The airline carried nearly 4 million passengers, reflecting the strong appetite for affordable long-haul travel. A 20% boost in seat capacity during the final quarter allowed it to accommodate growing demand. With an 83% load factor, AirAsia X maximized efficiency while ensuring travelers reached global destinations smoothly.
Sustained profits marked the airline’s third consecutive year of financial success. This stability enabled AirAsia X to expand its network with new routes, including flights to Chongqing and Nairobi. The airline also increased flight frequencies to Australia, Japan, and South Korea, aligning with peak travel seasons.
Revenue growth soared as AirAsia X introduced new premium services and enhanced in-flight experiences. Upgraded seating and innovative add-ons significantly boosted ancillary revenue, setting a record in 2024.
AirAsia X Thailand contributed to this success by carrying over 1.6 million passengers. A strategic shift to Don Mueang International Airport and the introduction of new routes to India fueled its expansion. These efforts solidified its position in Thailand’s long-haul travel market.
The airline also advanced its sustainability goals, earning international recognition for its ESG initiatives. By implementing measures to lower its environmental impact, AirAsia X reinforced its commitment to responsible aviation.
Looking ahead, the airline plans to reactivate more aircraft and expand its network further. With strong demand and a clear strategy, AirAsia X is set to continue its impressive growth in the years to come.
