airBaltic has strengthened its partnership with Lufthansa, offering more flexibility for travelers. The Latvian airline now provides codeshare flights from Munich to six major German cities, expanding options for European travelers. Starting November 20, 2024, airBaltic will offer flights to Bremen, Cologne Bonn, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, and Stuttgart, making travel between the Baltic region and Germany easier.
This collaboration builds on the 2020 partnership between the two airlines. airBaltic’s new codeshare agreement allows passengers to book flights under the airline’s BT code on these Lufthansa routes. The expansion increases convenience and connects airBaltic’s growing network with key German hubs. Lufthansa also places its LH code on airBaltic flights between the Baltic capitals—Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius—and Munich.
Both airBaltic and Lufthansa improve travel options for passengers flying within Europe and beyond. airBaltic already operates over 130 routes from its hubs in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and Gran Canaria. With this enhanced codeshare partnership, the airline expands its reach, offering passengers easier access to new destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
The expanded partnership strengthens both airlines’ positions in the competitive European market. Travelers now have more flight choices, improving both business and leisure travel experiences. Whether you want to explore more of Germany or fly from the Baltics to new international destinations, airBaltic’s cooperation with Lufthansa provides the flexibility needed for seamless travel.
Through this strategic partnership, airBaltic enhances the travel experience, ensuring passengers have access to more routes and better connections.
