Latvia’s national airline, AirBaltic, is actively expanding. As a result, they offer over 200 job opportunities across various departments. This growth includes positions for Cabin Crew, Pilots, and roles in Technical and Commercial fields.
Currently, AirBaltic has 120 openings for Cabin Crew. Specifically, each Baltic capital—Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius—offers 40 roles. In addition, the airline seeks experienced Captains with ICAO and EASA ATPL licenses. Furthermore, they are hiring Senior First Officers who can fast-track to command to operate the Airbus A220-300. Notably, pilots joining AirBaltic from September 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025, can earn substantial sign-on bonuses of EUR 15,000 for Captains and EUR 10,000 for Senior First Officers.
Moreover, AirBaltic has expanded its technical workforce with several job openings. They need Aircraft Mechanics, Aircraft Certifying Technicians (B1 or B2), and Aircraft Interior Restoration Mechanics. Additionally, the airline hires for office roles in Revenue Management, Marketing, IT, and Human Resources. Interested candidates can explore opportunities on AirBaltic’s careers page.
Furthermore, recent initiatives showcase AirBaltic’s commitment to workforce development. The airline plans to strengthen its presence in the Baltic States by opening new crew bases in Tallinn and Vilnius. Starting in January, they will implement a pay increase and improve crew rosters. Consequently, this change will provide pilots and cabin crew with more scheduled days off.
In addition to these efforts, AirBaltic launched a Technical Academy. They welcomed 57 students into three specialized programs: the RTU AirBaltic Program, the LVT AirBaltic Program, and the Mechanics Program. These programs run in partnership with institutions like Riga Technical University and Liepaja State Technical School.
Meanwhile, AirBaltic’s Pilot Academy continues to attract aspiring aviators. Currently, 136 students are enrolled, mostly from the Baltic region and other EU countries. Notably, over 10% of the students are female. To date, 112 graduates have secured positions within the airline.
With a workforce of more than 2,600 professionals, AirBaltic remains a top employer in national and international rankings. Thus, the airline connects travelers to over 130 routes, linking Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius to various destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus.
