airBaltic Launches Free High-Speed Internet, Changing In-Flight Connectivity

airBaltic is changing air travel by offering free high-speed internet on its flights. Because of this, passengers can stay connected from takeoff to landing. This big step makes airBaltic the first airline in Europe to provide SpaceX’s Starlink service, improving the in-flight experience.

To mark this achievement, the airline held a special event at RIX Riga Airport. At the event, industry experts, journalists, and guests got a first look at the new service. At the same time, airBaltic prepared for its first flight with free Starlink internet from Riga to Munich. With this launch, the airline is making air travel more modern and connected.

airBaltic has already started adding Starlink to its Airbus A220-300 planes. The airline plans to equip all its aircraft by the end of 2025. Because of this, passengers will get fast, smooth internet for streaming, working, and staying in touch. Unlike older in-flight Wi-Fi, Starlink offers speeds of up to 500 Mbps with low delay.

Also, Starlink works with satellites that orbit closer to Earth than regular ones. As a result, the internet is faster and more stable. Another benefit is that passengers don’t need logins or extra steps to use it. Since millions of people already use Starlink at home, airBaltic is now bringing this reliable service to its flights.

Going forward, the airline is fully committed to making this service available on all flights. Because of this, passengers will enjoy free, high-speed internet every time they fly. With this upgrade, airBaltic is leading the way in better in-flight internet, making travel easier and more enjoyable.
