This initiative, launched during National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, teaches airline staff how to recognize and report suspicious activities. Previously, American Airlines partnered with the Blue Campaign and signed the Transportation Leaders Against Human Trafficking initiative. This effort reflects the airline’s strong commitment to human rights within aviation.
In early 2024, American’s Professional Women in Aviation group organized awareness events at major airports, including Dallas Fort Worth and London Heathrow. These events, in partnership with Homeland Security, demonstrated how industry partnerships help fight trafficking.
American Airlines also works with organizations like It’s A Penalty and Protecting All Children from Trafficking. The airline donates miles to support these missions. These efforts reaffirm the airline’s commitment to ending human trafficking and child exploitation.
