In December, American Airlines partnered with the Gary Sinise Foundation (GSF) to bring joy to over 2,500 participants through the Snowball Express initiative. This annual event takes place during the holiday season. It offers families who lost a loved one in military service or among first responders a chance to gather for a week of hope and healing at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
The Snowball Express program covered all expenses, giving families an unforgettable experience. They received emotional support, camaraderie, and Disney magic. Families from across the globe flew to Orlando, many aboard 17 special flights arranged by American Airlines. More than 1,000 volunteers from American Airlines worked to create lasting memories. Volunteers organized gate-side ceremonies and inflight experiences, paying attention to every detail to make families feel honored.
