ANA has unveiled “THE Room FX,” a luxurious new business class seat for its Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Designed for long-haul routes, this innovation blends comfort, technology, and sustainability into one seamless travel experience.
Previously, ANA introduced “THE Room” on its Boeing 777-300ER. Now, with “THE Room FX,” it adapts that success to the 787-9’s compact frame. Despite the smaller fuselage, the comfort level remains high. Moreover, the airline ensures every passenger enjoys privacy and space.
The seat features a forward- and rear-facing 1-2-1 layout. As a result, every traveler gets direct aisle access. Whether flying solo or in a pair, passengers benefit from spaciousness and convenience.
Additionally, each suite includes a wide, flat-bed seat that transforms into a personal lounge. Travelers can stretch out, work, or relax during long journeys. The 24-inch HD screen offers a rich viewing experience, while USB-C ports and wireless charging keep devices powered.
Importantly, ANA integrated sustainable materials into the design. These thinner components reduce aircraft weight and fuel use. Therefore, the airline lowers its carbon footprint while enhancing onboard comfort. It’s a strategic move toward greener aviation.
Starting in 2026, ANA will launch “THE Room FX” on three new 787-9s. Then, it will retrofit 16 more aircraft beginning in 2027. These aircraft will serve long-haul routes from Tokyo to Europe, North America, and other key markets.
In conclusion, ANA combines elegance, innovation, and responsibility in its next-generation cabin. With “THE Room FX,” the airline delivers a refined, tech-rich experience that sets a new luxury standard in the skies.
