ANA introduced new premium economy seats for its 787-9 Dreamliners, offering more comfort and advanced features. The airline aims to improve the passenger experience with these new seats. They provide wide cushions, adjustable headrests, and extra reclining, making them a perfect choice for passengers seeking better comfort between economy and business class. ANA will also ensure high-quality service during these flights to Japan.
The new premium economy seats, developed by Recaro, will first appear on new 787-9s next year. ANA will arrange the seats in a 2-3-2 layout with 40 inches of legroom, much more than in regular economy. These seats also feature 15.6-inch touchscreens for in-flight entertainment. Passengers can use Bluetooth headphones, plus USB-A and USB-C charging outlets. ANA will install the new seats on three Dreamliners at first, then retrofit 16 more planes. However, delays in the supply chain may push back the retrofit schedule.
Along with the premium economy update, ANA will soon announce a new business-class product. This product will join the premium economy on the 787-9s. It may resemble ANA’s luxury “The Room” from the Boeing 777-300ER. ANA currently flies its Dreamliner on several U.S. routes, including Los Angeles, Seattle, and Honolulu. The airline will expand its Dreamliner fleet, offering more travel options soon.
Travelers can book ANA flights using points or miles through American Express Membership Rewards. They can also use Star Alliance partners like United Airlines and Singapore Airlines.
