Avelo Airlines continues to grow rapidly with its new North Carolina expansion. The airline, still young, builds its reputation by adding routes and establishing two new bases.
Avelo Airlines will open bases at Wilmington International and Concord-Padgett Regional airports in 2025. The Concord base begins operations on March 6, 2025, and Wilmington follows on April 3, 2025. Each location starts with one plane, with more added later in 2025. These expansions will create 100 new jobs, including customer service, flight operations, and maintenance positions.
Avelo Airlines strengthens its commitment to North Carolina with these strategic moves. The airline’s success over two years in the state fuels its continued growth. Expanding bases allows Avelo to connect more travelers with affordable and reliable options.
As part of this plan, Avelo introduces new routes. Wilmington flights will connect to Boston, Rochester, and Nashville. Concord travelers can fly to Daytona Beach and Nashville. These direct routes respond to increasing demand for affordable flights in North Carolina.
Avelo Airlines also grows internationally. Starting February 2025, it will fly to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, from Raleigh-Durham International Airport. These additions enhance its growing network of destinations.
Avelo Airlines’ expansion ensures more accessibility and convenience for customers in North Carolina and beyond. This strategic growth reflects its mission to offer affordable travel and reliable connections to a wider audience.
