Avianca Expands with New Fort Lauderdale–Managua Route

Avianca is set to enhance its network with a new nonstop flight connecting Fort Lauderdale and Managua. Starting May 10, 2025, travelers will enjoy daily service between South Florida and Nicaragua’s capital. This expansion strengthens Avianca’s presence in Fort Lauderdale while improving travel options for business and leisure passengers.

The airline already operates flights from Fort Lauderdale to Bogotá and Medellín. Adding Managua to its network makes it easier for travelers to explore Nicaragua’s rich culture and growing business scene. With this move, Avianca aims to boost regional connectivity and provide seamless access to key destinations across Latin America.

Passengers on this route will travel aboard Avianca’s Airbus A320, which can accommodate up to 180 people per flight. The airline will add over 2,500 seats each week, ensuring more availability for those traveling between these cities. This addition supports Avianca’s strategy of strengthening connections across the Americas.

Flights from Managua to Fort Lauderdale will depart at 10:00 a.m. and arrive at 2:35 p.m. daily. The return flight will leave Fort Lauderdale at 4:00 p.m. and reach Managua by 4:40 p.m. This convenient schedule allows travelers to plan flexible itineraries.

Tickets for this route are now available through Avianca’s website, mobile app, and authorized travel agencies. As demand for travel between the U.S. and Latin America grows, Avianca continues to expand, making it easier for passengers to reach top destinations with reliable and efficient service.
