The holiday season is here, and British Airways is gearing up for its busiest December yet. According to aviation data, the following are the busiest international routes for British Airways this December.
The route from London Heathrow to Geneva tops the list, with 268 scheduled flights offering nearly 46,000 seats. Right behind it is the short hop across the English Channel to Amsterdam, where 253 flights are scheduled. However, the New York City route stands out in terms of seat capacity, offering the highest number of seats at over 58,000, even though it ranks third in terms of flight frequency.
Other popular European destinations include Barcelona, Paris, and Rome, each with over 200 scheduled flights. Paris Charles de Gaulle and Barcelona El Prat round out the top five busiest international routes, with more than 230 flights. Meanwhile, Switzerland appears twice in the top ten, with both Zurich and Geneva being major hubs for British Airways this December.
While Heathrow is the primary hub for these international routes, London Gatwick Airport features a few leisure destinations as well.
