Big News for Travelers! ANA & Air India Just Made India-Japan Flights Easier and Better

Air travel between India and Japan is about to get more seamless. ANA and Air India are expanding their codeshare agreement, making flights between the two countries smoother. This partnership, launching on March 30, 2025, will increase connectivity and offer travelers better options. As a result, ANA, Japan’s top airline, will now codeshare on Air India’s new Haneda-Delhi route and six domestic destinations in India. In return, Air India will codeshare on six domestic routes in Japan. Consequently, this move simplifies travel, reduces layovers, and enhances the overall flying experience.

The expansion significantly improves flight connectivity for both business and leisure travelers. For instance, ANA’s inclusion in the Haneda-Delhi route allows passengers to switch flights without changing terminals at Delhi Airport. Previously, travelers faced long terminal transfers, causing delays. Now, with smoother operations, passengers will save time and experience greater efficiency. Additionally, ANA’s extended codeshare access to Air India’s domestic network makes traveling across India easier. At the same time, Air India’s customers will enjoy access to ANA’s domestic routes, reaching major cities like Osaka and Hiroshima.

To ensure a seamless transition, both airlines will introduce these changes in phases. First, the codeshare expansion within India begins on March 30. Then, Air India’s Haneda-Delhi route launches on March 31. Finally, by April 1, ANA’s six domestic routes in Japan will be included, completing the integration. This phased approach ensures passengers and airline operations adapt smoothly.

Ultimately, the agreement strengthens global connectivity between India and Japan. With reduced transit times and expanded route options, travelers will experience greater convenience. Moreover, frequent flyers will benefit from mileage rewards and premium services. This collaboration not only enhances accessibility but also promotes international tourism and business exchanges. Thanks to these improvements, flying between India and Japan is set to become easier than ever.
