Breeze Airlines Takes Flight with New Charleston-Newark Route

Breeze Airlines recently introduced a new nonstop service between Charleston, West Virginia, and Newark, New Jersey. This marks the first time in over a decade that Charleston has had direct access to New York City. On Thursday morning, passengers eagerly boarded the inaugural flight at West Virginia International Yeager Airport, marking a significant milestone for both the airport and the region.

Despite rainy weather, passengers remained enthusiastic, which signaled strong demand for the new route. In fact, the flight was expected to arrive in Newark at 10:55 local time. This new connection now offers travelers a convenient and quick option to reach the bustling New York City area from Charleston.

Furthermore, Breeze Airlines has rapidly expanded its reach in West Virginia. The new Newark route is part of the airline’s broader efforts to improve connectivity for the region. In addition to Newark, the airline also offers flights to Orlando and seasonal destinations such as Myrtle Beach and Tampa. Consequently, the company aims to connect underserved city pairs, providing affordable and comfortable travel options for locals.

Moreover, local travelers, including many West Virginia natives, have expressed excitement about the new route. For residents who frequently visit family or conduct business in the Northeast, this new service offers much-needed convenience. As a result, the addition of nonstop flights between Charleston and Newark promises to boost both tourism and business opportunities for the region.

This new service follows Breeze Airlines’ operations at Yeager Airport, which began in March 2023. Notably, the airline’s continued growth enhances air travel options for residents and attracts more visitors to West Virginia. By offering additional flights on select days, Breeze Airlines is helping create more travel opportunities for the local community.
