Breeze Airways Expands Boldly With New Routes And Cities

Breeze Airways continues its rapid rise by launching flights to more underserved U.S. cities. The airline celebrates its fourth anniversary with a bold expansion. As a result, it now connects Albany, Greensboro, and Key West with more direct options. Breeze Airways, which flies a growing fleet of A220s and Embraer jets, focuses on filling gaps left by other carriers.

To begin with, the airline started new flights from Albany to Charleston and Raleigh/Durham. These connections had either never existed or were lost over time. Moreover, Breeze now links Greensboro to both Hartford and Orlando. This move allows passengers to fly directly without long layovers. Similarly, Breeze enters Key West with flights from Tampa and Orlando. Although the new Key West route starts with fewer flights, it still meets high demand. Previously, 49,000 round-trip travelers used this route annually.

While expanding, Breeze also refined its route map. Therefore, it ended flights to Mobile International and Plattsburgh. Mobile lost commercial service after Breeze pulled out in January 2025. Additionally, Breeze left Plattsburgh due to low passenger load. The airline had only filled 70% of seats, which made the route unsustainable. Instead of holding onto weak links, Breeze redirects resources to stronger markets.

Thanks to these strategic moves, Breeze Airways now serves 11 airports across Florida. This growth strengthens its foothold in a highly competitive market. In addition, the airline fills the voids left by failed or withdrawn carriers. It gives passengers more travel choices and easier access to destinations. Breeze Airways remains committed to low-cost, direct flights and continues reshaping the U.S. air travel map.
