British Airways Celebrates 65 Years of Connecting Toronto and London

British Airways is marking 65 years of nonstop flights between Toronto and London, reinforcing its role as a leader in transatlantic travel. Since 1960, the airline has strengthened ties between Canada and the UK, fostering tourism, business, and personal connections. Over the years, it has continuously improved its services, making travel more convenient for passengers.

To celebrate this milestone, British Airways has launched a limited-time discount on flights between Toronto and London. As a result, travelers can enjoy reduced fares across economy, premium economy, and business class. The promotion runs until March 11, allowing passengers to book affordable travel for spring 2025. Moreover, this offer extends to select European destinations, giving travelers even more options.

Toronto Pearson International Airport is also joining the celebration with a special British-inspired dining experience. Throughout March, departing passengers can enjoy a UK-themed menu at the Ice Bar. Additionally, British Airways customers will receive meal vouchers during the first week of the month. This initiative brings a touch of British culture to the airport, enhancing the travel experience.

British Airways first introduced the Toronto–London route in 1960 with the Comet 4 jet. Later that year, the airline expanded its service with a Boeing 707, adding more frequency to the route. Over time, the demand for this connection grew significantly. Today, the airline operates 14 direct flights per week using state-of-the-art Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft. Consequently, passengers benefit from enhanced comfort and efficiency on their journeys.

Beyond Toronto, British Airways is also increasing service across Canada. Vancouver travelers will benefit from an expanded summer schedule, offering 14 weekly flights between Vancouver and London Heathrow. Furthermore, with a daily flight to London Gatwick, Vancouver passengers will have three options per day during peak summer.

In total, British Airways will operate up to 42 weekly flights between Canada and London in 2025. This marks one of the busiest Canadian travel seasons in the airline’s history. Thanks to its extensive network, travelers can expect world-class service, premium comfort, and seamless connections through London Heathrow.

For 65 years, British Airways has delivered exceptional transatlantic travel. Even today, it continues to ensure passengers experience reliability, luxury, and unforgettable journeys between Canada and the UK.
