Brussels Airlines Opens New Route to Kilimanjaro, Boosting Africa Travel

Brussels Airlines is once again widening its wings as it adds Kilimanjaro to its African network in June 2026. The direct service from Brussels strengthens the airline’s deep connection with East Africa and creates smoother travel options between Europe and Tanzania. Moreover, the move enhances tourism and business growth across both regions.

The new Brussels-Kilimanjaro route will run twice a week using an Airbus A330-300. Importantly, the aircraft features Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins, giving travelers more flexibility. In addition, fares starting from 519 euros make East Africa affordable for many European explorers. Through this launch, Brussels Airlines opens easier access to Mount Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro—Tanzania’s most breathtaking natural wonders.

As a result, tourism between Belgium and Tanzania is expected to flourish. The direct route saves time, avoids long layovers, and offers travelers a comfortable, seamless experience. Consequently, adventurers can combine safaris, mountain treks, and beach escapes without travel complexity. Furthermore, the Brussels hub allows quick connections from major European cities, boosting the route’s reach across the continent.

Additionally, this milestone reinforces Brussels Airlines’ leadership in African connectivity. The airline already links Brussels with Nairobi, Kigali, Entebbe, and Bujumbura, making Kilimanjaro its fifth East African destination. Therefore, the expansion enhances opportunities for tourism, trade, and cultural exchange. It also strengthens Tanzania’s economy, which heavily relies on international visitors.

Beyond this route, Brussels Airlines continues expanding its summer 2026 schedule. It is increasing flights across Europe and Africa to meet rising demand. At the same time, the airline invests in sustainable operations through efficient aircraft and green initiatives. Thus, it aligns with global efforts toward responsible, low-emission travel.

Ultimately, this new Kilimanjaro route invites European travelers to experience East Africa’s natural beauty, vibrant cultures, and unforgettable adventures.
