Cathay Pacific is expanding again in North America with the return of direct flights to Seattle. Moreover, the Hong Kong-based airline will relaunch the service on 30 March 2026. Consequently, this move strengthens its growing trans-Pacific network and highlights its ambition to dominate long-haul travel. Therefore, Seattle now joins the airline’s nine other North American gateways, giving travelers more seamless global connections.
In addition, the airline will deploy its advanced Airbus A350-900 aircraft on the Hong Kong–Seattle route. Furthermore, travelers can choose between Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins. Meanwhile, the service will operate five times a week, offering frequent options for both business and leisure travelers. Similarly, Cathay Pacific launched flights to Dallas-Fort Worth in 2025 and quickly expanded them. As a result, this success shows its strong focus on the rising Asia–North America travel corridor.
Seattle plays a crucial role in global trade and technology, and therefore it becomes a valuable addition. Additionally, the flight timings suit both business travelers heading to Asia and tourists exploring Hong Kong. Moreover, the airline also supports the booming cargo market by adding belly-hold capacity for goods. Consequently, this capacity will handle shipments that include tech and e-commerce products for growing demand in the region.
To promote the new route, Cathay Pacific introduced special fares starting from HK$5,060. Therefore, the promotion runs from 22 September to 31 October 2025 for travel in spring 2026. As a result, this offer encourages early bookings from passengers planning visits during peak travel months. Furthermore, the competitive price highlights the airline’s commitment to affordability while expanding its premium travel options.
By summer 2026, Cathay Pacific will operate more than 110 weekly flights to North America. Moreover, alongside these route expansions, the airline continues improving its passenger experience. Additionally, new lounges, upgraded cabin designs, and fuel-efficient aircraft define its vision of sustainable travel. Thus, this new Seattle connection demonstrates the airline’s mission to boost global reach with comfort and convenience.
