Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport will offer more travel options this fall. Starting September 8, 2025, Delta introduces a second daily flight to LaGuardia Airport in New York City. As a result, travelers will enjoy more convenient schedules between Chattanooga and a major global gateway.
Currently, Delta runs one daily flight to LaGuardia. However, this new service will add another departure every day except Saturday. Therefore, passengers flying from Sunday through Friday gain added flexibility. Meanwhile, the existing Saturday flight continues, ensuring uninterrupted service throughout the week.
This expansion by Delta supports a broader trend of growth in regional air travel. Moreover, LaGuardia serves as a major hub with vast international and domestic connections. Thus, travelers from Chattanooga can access more destinations without long layovers or inconvenient transfers.
Furthermore, Chattanooga’s airport continues to grow as a regional aviation center. Its rise draws more routes and flights from major airlines. Consequently, local businesses and professionals benefit from quicker access to important markets like New York City.
The new Delta flight also offers strong benefits for the tourism sector. Northeastern travelers can now visit Chattanooga more easily. In turn, the city gains more visibility and visitor spending. With scenic spots, outdoor adventures, and a lively downtown, Chattanooga becomes a top choice for weekend getaways.
From an economic standpoint, the second flight boosts business travel and job opportunities. Additionally, better air service can help attract new companies to the area. Thus, Chattanooga positions itself as a stronger link between the Southeast and the Northeast.
Looking ahead, Delta’s network expansion reflects a larger strategy to connect growing regional markets. As more flights take off, Chattanooga cements its status as a rising travel hub.
