Delta Air Lines OSHA Investigation: Tragic Incident at Maintenance Facility


The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating a tragic incident at a Delta Air Lines maintenance facility in Atlanta that resulted in the deaths of two employees and serious injuries to another on Tuesday. The Delta Air Lines OSHA investigation aims to uncover the causes of this unfortunate event.

The incident occurred shortly after 5 a.m. EDT at Delta’s technical operations center, situated near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. According to Delta, the injured employee is receiving medical care following an accident involving wheel components that were being disassembled for maintenance and were not attached to an aircraft.

OSHA is looking into the circumstances of the incident. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is also in contact with Delta regarding the situation.

In a statement, Delta expressed its condolences, stating, “This news is heartbreaking for all of us. We are working with local authorities and conducting a full investigation to understand what happened.” The exact cause of the accident remains undisclosed.
