Delta Air Lines is gearing up for a busy summer in 2025 by bringing back seven seasonal routes from its major hubs in Atlanta, Detroit, and Minneapolis–St. Paul. These routes will offer more travel options for passengers looking to explore destinations across the U.S. and beyond. The airline’s return to these routes highlights the importance of the summer season and the demand for leisure travel. Travelers will enjoy expanded options to well-known U.S. vacation spots and a new connection to Latin America.
Delta will deploy four different aircraft types for these seasonal flights, offering thousands of seats throughout the summer. The majority of the routes will operate from Atlanta, with several connecting to popular U.S. destinations. For example, flights will depart from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to Bangor, Maine, and Rapid City, South Dakota, using a Boeing 737-800 and an Airbus A319, respectively. Meanwhile, the 717-200 will serve routes to Pensacola and Destin-Fort Walton in Florida.
In addition to domestic destinations, Delta Air Lines will launch a seasonal flight to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, beginning May 10, 2025. This route will help accommodate increased demand for Caribbean travel, using the larger 737-900ER. The airline will also operate flights to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, from Minneapolis, offering travelers a scenic gateway to the region’s national parks and mountain resorts.
With these seasonal routes, Delta Air Lines strengthens its summer travel offerings, making it easier for customers to reach both domestic and international destinations. Whether seeking a relaxing beach vacation or an adventurous trip to the mountains, Delta’s summer routes provide something for everyone. These efforts demonstrate the airline’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for travel during peak vacation months.
