Delta continues to expand its footprint in the domestic market with a new daily route between Raleigh-Durham and Kansas City. Starting May 7th, passengers can travel nonstop between these cities on a flight operated by Delta’s regional partner, Endeavor Air. This new route is part of Delta’s broader plan to grow its domestic services, which have steadily increased over the past few years. The flights will use the Bombardier CRJ-900, a regional jet known for its efficiency and comfort, offering 76 seats across different classes.

While Delta focuses on growing its international network, the airline recognizes the tremendous potential in strengthening its connections with smaller domestic markets. Raleigh-Durham, a key focus city for Delta, will benefit significantly from these new Kansas City flights, further expanding its regional offerings. Additionally, the flight schedule includes a morning departure from Raleigh-Durham, offering convenience for early travelers, and a return flight in the evening, ensuring flexibility for both business and leisure passengers alike.

Although Southwest Airlines competes by offering twice-weekly flights on the same route, Delta’s new service offers more options and a higher frequency of travel. Moreover, passengers will enjoy Delta’s enhanced in-flight experience, which provides greater comfort and convenience compared to the low-cost carrier’s options. As a result, this new route strengthens Delta’s position in the competitive domestic travel market.

As Delta continues to grow, the airline is also investing in its infrastructure. Endeavor Air, which operates these new flights, will establish a crew base at Raleigh-Durham to support this expansion. Delta plans to hire more staff and add crew members, which will help improve operational efficiency. Ultimately, this expansion brings more jobs to the area and reinforces Delta’s commitment to growth, focusing on delivering quality service to passengers traveling across its ever-expanding network.
