Delta Expands from LAX: New Routes to Hong Kong and Chicago Change the Game for Travelers

Delta Air Lines is ramping up its strategy at Los Angeles International Airport, adding direct flights to Hong Kong and Chicago. As competition grows, the airline seizes this moment to strengthen both international and domestic routes. Therefore, Delta Air Lines positions itself to lead in a high-demand market.

With these new routes, travelers gain access to two important destinations. While Hong Kong connects to Asia’s economic pulse, Chicago anchors U.S. business and culture. As a result, Delta’s dual expansion creates stronger ties between global cities.

Beginning June 2026, Delta Air Lines will launch daily nonstop service to Hong Kong. Moreover, the airline will use the advanced Airbus A350-900 to serve this long-haul route. Passengers can enjoy lie-flat seating, chef-prepared meals, and premium service in Delta One and Premium Select cabins.

Meanwhile, Delta adds three daily flights from LAX to Chicago O’Hare using Boeing 737-800s. Consequently, this move improves travel options for business professionals and leisure travelers alike. Each flight includes seatback entertainment, in-seat power, and complimentary Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members.

Furthermore, Delta Air Lines has turned LAX into its premier West Coast hub. Thanks to a $2.3 billion investment, Terminal 3 now offers streamlined check-ins, faster security, and modern lounges. Notably, the new Delta One Lounge provides massage chairs, curated dining, and quiet spaces for premium travelers.

Ultimately, this expansion signals a bold commitment to service and innovation. As more travelers take to the skies, Delta Air Lines offers a seamless, high-quality journey. Consequently, the airline stands ready to win loyalty in both transpacific and domestic markets.
