Delta Air Lines will resume nonstop flights between Boston Logan International Airport and Madison, Wisconsin, in time for the summer 2026 season. This service caters to both leisure and business travelers, boosting regional connectivity. The route aims to enhance tourism, education, and economic exchange between key U.S. cities.
The daily flights will start on June 7, 2026. Delta had previously operated this route in 2024, and its return highlights the airline’s strategy to strengthen domestic networks. Travelers can now plan their trips, with ticket sales available since December 2025. The route’s return aligns with seasonal travel trends, especially in the summer when U.S. tourism peaks.
Delta will operate the flights using an Embraer E175 aircraft, ideal for short domestic routes. This plane offers First Class and Comfort+ seats, providing passengers with comfort. Departures from Boston will occur at 2:00 p.m., and the plane will arrive in Madison at 3:53 p.m. The return flight will leave Madison at 4:45 p.m. and reach Boston at 8:19 p.m. This schedule supports same-day travel and onward connections through Boston Logan.
The Boston–Madison route faces competition from American Airlines, which will also begin flights in June 2026. This competition gives travelers more choices, flexibility, and potentially lower fares.
Madison, Wisconsin, one of the most livable cities in the U.S., stands to gain from this renewed air service. The city offers a mix of outdoor activities, cultural attractions, and a vibrant academic community. The route will help Madison strengthen its position as a key tourism destination in the national market.
