Qatar Airways launched special flights to Dhaka after Middle East airspace closures disrupted travel. Therefore, Qatar Airways created urgent travel options for stranded passengers. Moreover, severe regional tensions forced several countries to close important aviation routes.
Since February 28, authorities across Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Jordan restricted airspace access. Consequently, airlines faced massive operational challenges across major international routes. Meanwhile, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka experienced heavy disruption and widespread passenger congestion.
Because of these restrictions, hundreds of flights were canceled across Dhaka’s main international gateway. As a result, thousands of travelers struggled to continue planned journeys. Additionally, airlines faced growing pressure while managing cancellations, rebooking requests, and passenger assistance.
Therefore, Qatar Airways arranged two special flights connecting Doha and Dhaka on March 13 and 15. Moreover, these flights provide a direct solution for passengers stranded by continuing aviation restrictions. Consequently, affected travelers now gain another opportunity to reach Bangladesh despite ongoing disruptions.
Passengers can book these flights directly through Qatar Airways or through authorized travel agents. Furthermore, the simplified booking process now removes earlier registration requirements for affected travelers. Therefore, travelers can secure seats quickly while airlines adjust operations during the crisis.
Meanwhile, Dhaka Airport continues to handle serious congestion as flight cancellations accumulate. Consequently, airport authorities coordinate with airlines to support stranded passengers and restore smoother operations. However, limited airspace availability continues to restrict many international flight paths.
Additionally, aviation networks across Asia and the Middle East face ongoing scheduling complications. Because restricted air corridors limit routing flexibility, airlines must adjust flight plans carefully. Therefore, many carriers still cancel or delay flights across several international hubs.
Qatar Airways therefore provides temporary relief during a period of major aviation disruption. Moreover, the additional flights help reduce congestion at Dhaka while supporting travelers needing urgent connections. Consequently, the airline strengthens travel continuity between Bangladesh and the Middle East.
However, full recovery depends on reopening closed Middle Eastern airspace corridors. Until authorities lift those restrictions, airlines must operate limited schedules and flexible routes. Therefore, travelers must monitor updates while airlines coordinate alternative solutions.
