Discover Airlines has launched its first-ever direct flight from Frankfurt to Tulum, Mexico. The plane took off at 10:20 a.m. and arrived smoothly at Tulum Felipe Carillo Puerto International Airport (TQO) at 4:05 p.m. local time. This new route is a major development, offering travelers a more convenient option to reach Tulum from Europe.

Since its opening in December 2023, Tulum Felipe Carillo Puerto International Airport has welcomed Discover Airlines as its first European carrier. Moreover, this marks the first time a widebody aircraft has landed at the airport, highlighting Tulum’s growing status as an international destination.

Going forward, Discover Airlines will operate direct flights to Tulum twice a week—every Thursday and Sunday. As a result, travelers can now skip the hassle of long layovers and connecting flights. This direct service allows them to reach Tulum much faster, enhancing the overall travel experience.

The best time to visit Tulum is between December and April. During this period, the weather is perfect for enjoying the stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and iconic Mayan ruins. Additionally, Tulum serves as an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions like the Bacalar Lagoon, Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, and the ancient ruins of Cobá.

With the addition of this direct flight, Discover Airlines strengthens its presence in Mexico. This new service complements its year-round flights to Cancún, offering even more options for travelers eager to explore the rich culture and natural beauty of the Yucatán Peninsula.
