easyJet is preparing for its busiest Easter yet, with over 4.2 million passengers expected to travel. The airline has expanded its capacity, adding nearly 10,000 extra seats compared to last year. Good Friday, 18 April, will be the peak travel day, with more than 262,000 people flying across its network.
Travelers are flocking to popular destinations like Amsterdam, Tenerife, and Dalaman. Families are heading to Barcelona and Paris, while sun-seekers prefer Tunisia and Morocco. With April temperatures reaching 23°C in some locations, holidaymakers are eager to escape.
easyJet’s latest expansion includes new routes and a fresh UK base at London Southend. The airline now offers 122 weekly flights from Southend to hotspots like Antalya and Pisa. It has also introduced its first Sub-Saharan route, connecting London Gatwick to Cape Verde. Another new addition links London Luton to Tbilisi, Georgia.
As demand soars, easyJet continues to enhance its services. The airline is launching 110 new routes this summer, with 44 departing from the UK. To support this growth, it has added seven new Airbus A320 aircraft to its fleet.
For last-minute travelers, affordable fares remain available. Flights to destinations like Alicante, Malaga, and Faro cost under £50. easyJet holidays also offer budget-friendly beach and city breaks, with bookings open until October 2026.
The airline expects record-breaking numbers this Easter, driven by competitive pricing and an expanded network. With more flights and greater flexibility, easyJet is set to offer travelers an unforgettable Easter getaway.
