easyJet’s New Pilot Training Will Ensure Safer, Smoother European Flights

easyJet, Europe’s top low-cost carrier, expands its pilot training operations across Europe. This expansion supports the airline’s growth plans. In partnership with CAE, an aviation training and simulation technology leader, easyJet strengthens its pilot training capabilities.

The airline invests in advanced flight simulators to support its expanding network. Two new full-flight simulators will be added to CAE’s London Gatwick facility, and one will go to CAE Milan. Additionally, easyJet will open a new training base at CAE Amsterdam with two simulators dedicated to its programs. These facilities will begin operations by winter 2025.

This expansion matches easyJet’s growth strategy across the UK and Europe. The airline will open a new three-aircraft base at London Southend in spring. It also plans additional bases in Milan Linate and Rome, subject to European Commission approval. Moreover, easyJet will add nine new Airbus A320 aircraft to its fleet, building on last year’s addition of 16 aircraft.

easyJet’s 19 advanced flight simulators across London, Milan, and Amsterdam will train more than 7,000 pilots each year. These centers will operate up to 20 hours daily during peak times. They will train new pilots, provide recurrent training for experienced aviators, and help Senior First Officers prepare for Captain roles.

This expansion shows easyJet’s dedication to industry-leading standards. By adopting advanced technologies, easyJet guarantees its pilots are ready for the aviation industry’s challenges. As Europe’s largest low-cost airline, easyJet continues its growth across the region with this major investment.
