Emirates is celebrating 25 years of strengthening Sydney’s global connections. Since launching flights in March 2000 with just four weekly services through Singapore, the airline has significantly expanded. Today, it operates three daily direct flights between Sydney and Dubai, ensuring seamless access to over 140 destinations worldwide. Over the years, Emirates has transported more than nine million passengers on over 35,000 flights to and from Sydney. Due to the route’s success, the airline launched an A380 service across the Tasman Sea in 2016. Additionally, Emirates enhanced airport services by opening a dedicated lounge at Sydney Airport in 2006. Emirates remains committed to innovation. In 2022, Sydney became one of the first cities to receive the airline’s Premium Economy cabin on its refurbished A380s. Because of high demand, Emirates added extra daily flights from Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Furthermore, in 2023, the airline upgraded its Sydney operations to an all-A380 service, offering over 20,300 weekly seats and enhanced cabin features. As a result, passengers experience more comfort and convenience than ever before.
