Emirates is preparing for a record-breaking travel surge this Eid Al Fitr, with over 80,000 passengers expected to depart from Dubai. The airline urges travelers to arrive early and take advantage of flexible check-in options to ensure a hassle-free journey. With peak travel days approaching, avoiding last-minute delays is crucial for a smooth airport experience.
As the holiday season begins, Dubai International Airport will witness an influx of passengers, especially on March 28–29 and April 5–6. Emirates advises passengers to reach the airport at least three hours before departure to avoid congestion at Terminal 3. The airline emphasizes punctuality, urging travelers to monitor their boarding times closely.
To simplify the check-in process, Emirates provides multiple options. Passengers can check in online via the website or mobile app 48 hours before departure. For added convenience, travelers can drop off their luggage at Emirates City Check-in or the Travel Store in ICD Brookfield Place between 24 and 4 hours before their flight. Those staying in Dubai hotels or residences can use the home check-in service. Additionally, the Ajman Central Bus Terminal offers a check-in facility for travelers from the northern Emirates.
Passengers can also drop off their bags at no extra cost the night before their flight. For US-bound flights, early baggage drop is available up to 12 hours before departure. These services help travelers move directly to passport control on their travel day.
To prevent delays, passengers should clear security at least 90 minutes before departure. Economy and Premium Economy travelers should arrive at the gate 60 minutes before takeoff, while First and Business Class travelers should be there 45 minutes before. Emirates will close the boarding gates 20 minutes before departure. Latecomers will not be allowed to board, as the airline prioritizes on-time departures.
