Emirates will enhance its flights to Mumbai and Ahmedabad starting January 2025 by introducing the Airbus A350-900. This new aircraft will replace the older Boeing 777-200LR on these important routes, offering better comfort and efficiency. Moreover, the A350-900 features modern technology, improved fuel efficiency, and a superior passenger experience, making it perfect for long-haul flights.
Currently, Emirates operates multiple daily flights to both cities. However, starting January 26, 2025, one of the five daily flights to Mumbai will switch to the Airbus A350. Specifically, flight EK 502 departs Dubai at 1:15 PM and arrives in Mumbai at 5:50 PM IST. In return, flight EK 503 departs Mumbai at 7:20 PM IST and lands in Dubai at 9:05 PM local time.
For Ahmedabad, Emirates operates nine weekly flights. Consequently, starting January 26, 2025, the daily EK 538/539 services will switch to the A350. This change will bring more comfort to travelers. Additionally, the switch marks the first time Emirates will offer premium economy on this route, providing passengers more options for a refined flying experience.
The A350-900’s three-class configuration will seat about 312 passengers, including 32 business class seats, 21 premium economy seats, and 259 economy seats. This upgrade reflects Emirates’ commitment to superior services and growing demand for premium travel. Furthermore, the Airbus A350-900’s quiet cabin, dynamic lighting, and advanced filtration systems help reduce travel fatigue. Its eco-friendly design also lowers fuel consumption and carbon emissions by 25% compared to older aircraft models.
Emirates’ decision to deploy the A350 on these popular Indian routes shows its dedication to providing cutting-edge travel experiences. Moreover, the airline continues to strengthen its position in the growing India-UAE market, confident in the long-term growth of this important route.
