Etihad Airways has launched a new U.S. Preclearance Lounge at Zayed International Airport, offering travelers a new level of convenience and luxury before their flight to the United States. Officially opened on December 30, the lounge provides premium comfort and efficiency for eligible passengers.
The lounge is exclusively available to travelers flying in The Residence, First, or Business Class, along with Platinum and Emerald Etihad Guest members. However, others can also access the lounge for a fee, depending on availability. Conveniently located near the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance facility, the lounge offers a peaceful retreat for passengers after completing U.S. entry procedures, just before they board their flight.
Moreover, the facility offers a refined selection of beverages and light meals, elevating the already luxurious Etihad travel experience. Some select flights even provide direct boarding from the lounge, further enhancing the seamless journey.
In addition to its premium amenities, Etihad’s new Preclearance Lounge integrates the convenience of U.S. Preclearance with exceptional service. The airline’s U.S. CBP Preclearance facility is one of the few worldwide, allowing passengers to complete U.S. customs and immigration formalities before leaving Abu Dhabi. As a result, passengers arrive in the U.S. as domestic travelers, avoiding long immigration lines and ensuring a stress-free arrival.
Currently, Etihad Airways operates nonstop flights to major U.S. cities, including Boston, Chicago, New York, and Washington D.C. Furthermore, the airline plans to expand its network by launching service to Atlanta in July 2025. This new U.S. Preclearance Lounge is yet another step in Etihad’s commitment to providing a smooth, luxury-driven travel experience.
With the addition of this lounge, Etihad Airways continues to set a new standard for convenience and luxury in international travel.
