EVA Air is taking bold steps to strengthen its long-haul operations. The airline is acquiring new aircraft and upgrading its fleet to meet the growing demand for international travel. These changes are part of EVA Air’s plan to improve service and align with future trends in aviation.
The airline has approved a major investment of NT$65 billion. This will fund the purchase of four Boeing 787-9 aircraft. These planes will expand capacity on long-haul routes and complement the existing fleet. This move strengthens EVA Air’s ability to serve global travelers while maintaining fleet consistency.
In addition, EVA Air has extended leases for four Boeing 777-300ER aircraft currently in use. The airline also approved cabin upgrades for six of these planes. These upgrades ensure passengers enjoy a modern, comfortable experience across the long-haul fleet. EVA Air is working to standardize its onboard product and provide a consistent travel experience for all passengers.
Looking to the future, EVA Air will receive Airbus A350-1000 aircraft starting in 2027. These new aircraft will add to the fleet and match the upgraded cabins of the existing planes. This will create smoother transitions between aircraft types and enhance passenger comfort. EVA Air is committed to offering the best service as it grows its fleet.
Furthermore, these upgrades improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions, making the airline’s long-haul services more sustainable. With Taipei Taoyuan International Airport as its hub, EVA Air is prepared to meet increasing demand. The airline continues to focus on maintaining network stability and service continuity.
