British Airways is changing its 2025 flight schedule. The airline will operate two daily Airbus A380 flights from London Heathrow to San Francisco from March 29 to May 31. This change will boost the seat capacity and provide more options for passengers. The airline will use the Airbus A380 on both daily flights during this period.
The A380 will have a four-cabin configuration with 469 seats. Passengers can choose from 14 seats in First Class, 97 in Business Class, 55 in Premium Economy, and 303 in Economy. This setup ensures a comfortable and luxurious experience for travelers flying with British Airways to San Francisco.
This change will add more capacity to the London-San Francisco route. The seat offering will increase by 29.7%, from 43,380 to 56,280 seats. Previously, British Airways planned to operate one flight with the A380 and another with the Boeing 777-300ER. Now, the A380 will serve both flights, adding 12,900 seats.
The flight schedule includes departures from London at 10:45 AM and 2:05 PM. Flights will arrive in San Francisco at 1:50 PM and 5:15 PM. Return flights from San Francisco will depart at 4:35 PM and 7:20 PM, arriving in London the next day. This additional capacity positions British Airways ahead of its competitors, like United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.
British Airways will also deploy the A380 to other major destinations, including Los Angeles, Miami, and Singapore. With this move, the airline continues to grow its global reach and offers more options for its customers.
