The holiday season has arrived, bringing festive cheer and joy. This year, Finnair partners with Santa Claus to spread the magic of a Nordic Christmas across the globe. Instead of his usual sleigh, Santa is traveling with Finnair, Finland’s national carrier. After visiting cities like London, Berlin, and Japan, he has now arrived in India, eager to share the holiday spirit.
From December 6 to 8, Santa visited New Delhi, making a special appearance at the Finnish Ambassador’s residence. He then visited the Salaam Balak Trust, where children welcomed him warmly. The children had decorated a festive corner with a Christmas tree and ornaments. Santa handed out treats, posed for photos, and spread joy throughout the shelter. On December 7, families gathered at DLF CyberHub to continue the holiday celebrations, bringing the festive spirit to everyone present.
This global tour, filled with joy and laughter, showcases Finland as the true home of Christmas. Santa’s travels promote goodwill while also spreading the holiday cheer worldwide. Finnair, Santa’s official airline since 1983, plays a crucial role in connecting travelers to Rovaniemi, Santa’s official hometown. Through daily flights from New Delhi to Helsinki, Finnair makes it easier for guests to visit the Santa Claus Village, a magical destination. The village remains open year-round, inviting visitors to meet Santa, send Christmas cards, and enjoy the warm Finnish atmosphere.
Moreover, Finnair’s partnership with the Santa Claus Foundation has focused on improving children’s well-being around the world. Over the years, this collaboration has included goodwill tours and charitable initiatives, reinforcing the true spirit of giving during the festive season.
