Finnair Elevates In-Flight Dining with a Fresh Nordic Experience

Finnair has unveiled a revamped in-flight dining experience, bringing a fresh Nordic touch to its Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class menus. This enhanced offering is now available on long-haul and European routes from January 29 to May 20, 2025. Travelers can enjoy a carefully crafted selection of meals that blend regional flavors with seasonal ingredients.

Business Class passengers departing from Helsinki can savor a refined culinary experience. The journey begins with an appetizer featuring pumpkin, feta cheese, and pumpkin seed oil. For the main course, options include porcini mushroom risotto with roasted vegetables or potato purée with broccolini and creamy dill sauce. A third selection is also available, tailored to the flight route. Desserts range from a rich brownie with salted caramel to a classic blueberry cake or a premium cheese platter. Passengers can pre-select their main course on Finnair’s website up to 24 hours before departure.

Premium Economy travelers will also experience upgraded meal choices. The menu features slow-cooked meat stew with creamy polenta or grilled chicken breast with pea purée and buttermilk sauce. A lighter second meal or snack is served before arrival, along with complimentary hot and cold beverages, excluding sparkling wine.

Economy Class passengers on long-haul flights can enjoy a hot meal with non-alcoholic drinks and a complimentary glass of wine or a light alcoholic beverage. On selected routes, including Delhi, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Osaka, Shanghai, Seoul, and Singapore, travelers can choose between two main courses. A second light meal or snack is provided on extended flights. Passengers can also purchase extra food and drinks through the in-flight entertainment system, with cabin crew delivering orders directly to their seats.

Finnair’s new dining experience is designed to complement flight schedules and travel durations. For instance, Business Class guests on flights to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai receive a light meal after takeoff, followed by a brunch-style meal before landing. Premium Economy and Economy passengers also enjoy thoughtfully curated meal options. Travelers can explore Finnair’s full dining menu through the airline’s digital platforms.
