Norse Atlantic expands its Berlin-Miami service in spring 2025. The budget airline operates two weekly flights between Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and Miami International Airport (MIA). Starting March 5, 2025, it will add a third weekly flight, running through April 25, 2025.
The flights will operate using the Boeing 787-9. The aircraft offers premium and economy class seating. The schedule is as follows: Flights from Berlin (NO623) to Miami depart at 15:30 and arrive at 20:10 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Return flights (NO624) leave Miami at 22:15 and arrive in Berlin at 13:25 the next day. These flights will operate on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
This comes after Norse Atlantic reported financial losses in Q3 2024, amounting to $6.3 million. This loss is larger than the $1.6 million loss from the same period last year. On average, the airline loses $3,500 per flight.
Berlin has few transatlantic routes. Miami is one of the few long-haul destinations Norse Atlantic serves. The airline also offers a year-round service to New York. However, it faces stiff competition from Delta Air Lines and United Airlines on the New York route.
Norse Atlantic connects Miami with London Gatwick year-round. The airline also runs seasonal flights to Oslo. The fleet consists of 12 Boeing 787-9 aircraft, each six years old. Norse Atlantic’s low-cost model provides affordable transatlantic options.
