Fly Direct to Beijing’s Mega Airport—Vietnam Airlines Expands for Your Convenience!

Vietnam Airlines is strengthening air travel by launching direct flights to Beijing Daxing International Airport. This expansion improves Vietnam’s connectivity with China and enhances its appeal to Chinese tourists. The new route makes travel between the two nations faster and more convenient.

The first flight took off from Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport on March 30 at 12:45 a.m. It landed at Beijing Daxing at 6:30 a.m. The return journey left Daxing at 8:30 a.m. and arrived in Vietnam at 12:25 p.m.

Vietnam Airlines now operates this route five times weekly using an Airbus A321. This move brings its total Vietnam-China flights to 40 per week, covering key cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

China remains Vietnam’s fastest-growing tourism market. In 2024, over 3.7 million Chinese travelers visited Vietnam, marking a 214% increase from the previous year. This surge in demand has encouraged airlines to enhance travel options between the two countries.

Beijing Daxing International Airport spans 700,000 square meters, making it the world’s largest airport terminal. It was designed to ease congestion at Beijing Capital International Airport and provides seamless access to downtown Beijing within 50 minutes.

Vietnam Airlines is expanding its global network ahead of its 30th anniversary in 2025. The airline plans to introduce and relaunch 15 international routes, reaching new destinations in Italy, Denmark, the Middle East, Russia, and China.

This new route strengthens business and tourism ties between Vietnam and China. It also positions Vietnam Airlines as a key player in Asia’s aviation industry.
