Fly Farther This Winter: Japan Airlines Adds New Routes to the World’s Most Loved Cities

Japan Airlines has revealed an ambitious Winter 2025 schedule, focusing on stronger international and domestic connectivity. The airline is pushing new routes, higher frequencies, and modern aircraft to capture growing travel demand. These moves aim to give travelers more options during the peak winter season.

The airline will start daily flights between Narita and Melbourne from October 26, 2025. This expansion strengthens links between Japan and Australia, offering business and leisure travelers better flexibility. Japan Airlines will also bring back the Narita–Shanghai Pudong route after a long suspension. The service will run during winter, except for a short break in December.

Meanwhile, the Haneda–Paris Charles de Gaulle route will get a major upgrade on November 9, 2025. Japan Airlines will deploy the advanced Airbus A350-1000 on this route, replacing older planes. This aircraft offers better comfort, improved efficiency, and cutting-edge features for long-haul passengers. It joins other major routes already using this aircraft, including New York and London.

Hawaii will see extra flights during December and January to meet holiday demand. Narita–Honolulu flights will use Boeing 787-8 aircraft, while Haneda–Honolulu flights will get larger Boeing 777-300ER planes on select dates. These flights will provide more capacity and premium options during the busiest travel weeks.

The airline is also growing its domestic network to serve popular winter destinations. Extra flights will connect Tokyo Haneda with Sapporo and Osaka Itami with Hokkaido. Routes linking Okinawa with Fukuoka and Nagoya will also get additional frequencies during peak travel months. Japan Airlines aims to ensure smooth travel for both domestic and international passengers this season.

With fleet upgrades, expanded routes, and improved capacity, Japan Airlines is preparing for a busy winter ahead. These changes position the airline to serve travelers better and support tourism growth across key markets.
