WestJet is resuming its Halifax-Paris route in summer 2025 after a three-year hiatus. Starting May 16, the airline will operate four weekly flights from Halifax Stanfield International (YHZ) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). This marks the return of direct seasonal service, which WestJet suspended in 2022. Passengers will board the Boeing 737 MAX 8, with a capacity of 174 seats. The airline plans to provide 5,916 seats monthly between the two cities.
This route revival is part of WestJet’s strategy to expand its European network. In addition to Paris, the airline will launch flights to Dublin and Edinburgh in mid-May. WestJet will also start its London Gatwick service earlier, beginning in late April. The airline’s growing presence in Europe highlights its dedication to connecting Canada and Europe.
WestJet’s new summer schedule also focuses on seamless European connections. The airline has strengthened its partnership with Air France. This agreement allows passengers to reach more than 50 destinations across Europe. As WestJet introduces more routes, it meets the rising demand for travel from Halifax to Europe, offering more choices for leisure and business.
WestJet is preparing for a busy summer by adding more flights and routes. This expansion reflects the airline’s growth and commitment to offering more international options. With its fleet, including Boeing 787 Dreamliners, WestJet ensures comfort for passengers flying to these destinations. The return of Halifax-Paris flights boosts tourism and business connections between Nova Scotia and Europe.
