The airline will restore the Boeing 777-300ER on the Amsterdam route. Previously, it replaced this aircraft with the Airbus A350 in 2016. However, the A350 eliminated First Class from the service. In fact, this change marks a full-circle moment for Singapore Airlines. Back in 2014, the Boeing 777-300ER introduced First Class on the route. Then, the 2016 switch to the A350 ended that luxury. As a result, travelers had no First Class option for nearly a decade. Finally, the 2026 upgrade restores the premium cabin to Amsterdam.
Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines will also adjust schedules on the London Heathrow route. The airline will deploy the Airbus A350 there, replacing one Boeing 777-300ER. Consequently, one London service will lose First Class. However, the shift allows the airline to feature its new Business Class product instead. In addition, it balances fleet resources across key markets.
Furthermore, travelers can redeem miles for First Class bookings on Amsterdam flights. However, award pricing will increase after November 2025. Therefore, passengers should confirm seats early to secure favorable rates. In some cases, frequent flyers may unlock extra award availability through loyalty benefits.
