Etihad Airways plans big upgrades on its Abu Dhabi to Zurich route this winter. In fact, the airline wants to meet growing demand from travelers who need more options. From November 1, 2025, Etihad Airways will increase flights from 13 to 16 weekly.
Additionally, from February 3, 2026, the airline will start a 17th weekly flight to Zurich. Therefore, this move shows Etihad Airways’ strong focus on growing its European network. As a result, the airline will operate 9 to 10 weekly flights with the A321LR, up from 6 to 7 earlier.
Meanwhile, this change boosts connectivity and makes Abu Dhabi a key European gateway. In fact, travelers heading to Europe will see Abu Dhabi as a smart and easy option. Furthermore, Etihad Airways plans to stay ahead by adding more capacity to Zurich. As demand rises for Europe, the airline wants to capture this growth fast.
At the same time, Etihad Airways will keep the Milan Malpensa service strong at 17 weekly flights. Moreover, from February 2026, it will raise Milan flights to 18 weekly. Initially, the airline had considered expanding to 21 flights but chose to strengthen its current schedule first.
