Frontier Airlines Pilot Detained in Houston, Leading to Flight Cancellation

A pilot for Frontier Airlines was taken into custody in Houston, Texas, on Thursday, leading to the cancellation of a scheduled flight.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers apprehended 45-year-old Seymour Walker at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. He was wanted due to an assault-family violence warrant issued by the Department of Public Safety at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

The airline stated that \”the incident occurred before boarding began for Flight 3195 from IAH to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW).\” They clarified that the matter resulting in the arrest was unrelated to either Frontier or the pilot\’s job performance. Due to a lack of available replacement crew members, the flight could not proceed as planned.

The arrest was connected to an alleged assault on April 6, during which Walker’s wife claimed he struck her in the stomach following a dispute while they were watching their son\’s basketball game. An arrest affidavit noted that “during the argument, she became frustrated and cursed at Seymour, prompting him to react with anger and punch Tamisha in the stomach.”

Walker reportedly left the scene when his wife contacted law enforcement. She also claimed he had previously assaulted and choked her.

In response to this situation, Frontier offered affected passengers options for refunds, credits, or rebooking on another flight later that evening. Additionally, \”Passengers were provided a $100 flight voucher and overnight hotel accommodations if necessary,\” according to the airline\’s statement.
