Air Canada will enhance its network in Summer 2025 by expanding its Airbus A220-300 fleet. The airline will introduce the fuel-efficient A220 to more U.S. destinations. This move aims to optimize Air Canada’s operations and offer efficient, sustainable travel across North America.
Starting in May 2025, Air Canada will fly the A220-300 on key routes connecting Canada to major U.S. cities. Destinations such as Atlanta, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Charlotte will see this aircraft. These routes will operate between June and September, catering to the busy summer season. Air Canada will also increase A220 flights from Toronto, with daily service to Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C.
Vancouver will see new A220 flights, including two daily services to Denver, starting in May. The Vancouver-Denver route will operate indefinitely, while a daily service to Los Angeles will run in April 2025. Montreal will see daily A220 flights to Atlanta and Philadelphia from June 1 to July 13. Additionally, limited-time flights to Los Angeles will run in April.
Air Canada will also expand its domestic network. Calgary will regain A220 service on two routes: daily flights to Ottawa and Vancouver. Montreal will add seasonal A220 flights to Kelowna and Victoria during the summer months. Air Canada will also receive five more A220-300 aircraft, bringing its total to 65 by the end of 2025.
With the A220’s efficiency, Air Canada strengthens its commitment to offering modern, sustainable travel options across North America.
